San Diego — A 33-year-old man was killed Friday evening when he fell from Sunset Cliffs, San Diego lifeguards said.
The call came in shortly before 5 p.m., when the man -- who may have been distracted by a cellphone or camera -- fell 50 to 60 feet from the top of the cliffs on Christmas Day.

Lifeguards and San Diego Fire-Rescue Department personnel responded and rappelled to the bottom of the cliffs, where they attempted to revive and rescue the man.
He died at the scene.
Witnesses told lifeguards that the man may have been distracted by some kind of an electronic device, Marine Safety Lt. Rich Stropky said Saturday.
No further details were immediately available.
