A security guard was killed and two other men were wounded early Thursday in a shooting outside an all-night New Year’s Eve party at a Grand Terrace roller-skating rink, San Bernardino County sheriff’s officials said.
The shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. at Cal Skate, in the 22000 block of Commerce Way, according to a Sheriff’s Department press release. It identified the slain guard as Richard Williamson, 48, of Riverside, who died at a local hospital at about 3:10 a.m.
The two other victims were described as males, ages 22 and 28, one of whom was also a security guard at the event, which sheriff’s officials said was attended by about 200 people. One of the wounded men was treated at the scene, the other taken to the hospital.
No arrests had been made Thursday, according to the news release.
“The suspects remain outstanding and investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact investigators,” it read.
