Cause of short outage unknown

Parts of Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley were without electricity for about an hour on Thursday.
Southern California Edison spokesman Paul Natter said the power went out at 12:48 p.m. due to unknown circumstances. Officials are investigating the cause of the outage.
Power was restored at 1:51 p.m., Natter said.
About 39,421 customers throughout Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley were without power. Several major intersections, such as Beach Boulevard and Ellis Avenue, Garfield Avenue and Goldenwest Street and Warner Avenue and Gothard Street, experienced outages, Huntington Beach police Officer Jennifer Marlatt said.
