Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings preview

The Clippers will play a road game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the second leg of a back-to-back after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 126-121, at Staples Center on Friday.

The Clippers (26-14) are in sixth place in the Western Conference, 9½ games ahead of the 12th-place Kings (16-23).

The Kings have lost four of their last five games. Rudy Gay is listed as day-to day for the Kings after he sustained a left knee sprain in Tuesday’s loss to Dallas. Gay, who is averaging 20.4 points a game, missed Friday’s loss to Miami because of the injury.

Reserve Carl Landry has a sprained right wrist and it’s unclear whether he’ll play against the Clippers

None of the Clippers are listed as injured, but the superstars will undoubtedly be tired after Chris Paul and Blake Griffin each played over 40 minutes in Friday’s loss.

When the teams played Nov. 8, the Kings won, 98-92. In that game, Sacramento outshot the Clippers from the field, 50% to 38%, and outrebounded them, 46-35. DeMarcus Cousins scored a game-high 34 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.
