Corona Santiago (1-0) vs. Santa Margarita (1-0) at Trabuco Hills, 7:30 p.m.: As quarterback matchups go, this game brings together two of the best. There’s Alabama-bound Blake Barnett of Santiago going against junior KJ Costello, who has offers from UCLA and USC. Much will depend on line play and whether the quarterbacks can be given enough time to cause havoc in the secondary. The pick: Santa Margarita.

Narbonne (1-0) vs. Long Beach Poly (1-0) at Veterans Stadium, 7:30 p.m.: Two years ago, Narbonne defeated Poly, 56-0. The Jackrabbits haven’t forgotten. They’re coming off a 54-14 rout of Crenshaw. Their defense is outstanding, led by cornerback Iman Marshall. Narbonne quarterback Roman Ale looked much improved in a win over Palos Verdes. The pick: Poly.
