Jon Mack has resigned after four years as football coach at Oxnard High.
Mack, who guided the Yellow Jackets to the Southern Section Division 7 championship game, said his decision was made to “see what’s out there” as far as continuing to coach football.
“This team is loaded,” he said of Oxnard for next season.
Mack was highly successful at Ventura St. Bonaventure, where he spent 17 years as coach, winning seven section titles. He later coached at Ventura College and Crespi before taking over at Oxnard.
