Baseball: Malibu coach serves one-game suspension

Malibu baseball Coach Ari Jacobs is set to return to directing his team at practice Friday after serving a one-game suspension, along with an assistant coach, for having a beer while the team was participating in the San Diego Lions tournament earlier this season, Jacobs confirmed.
The two coaches missed Thursday’s game against Santa Clara.
Principal Dave Jackson said he conducted an investigation after allegations made by a parent. He said Jacobs has been cleared to resume his coaching duties.
A school district spokeswoman said the team has been banned from participating in overnight tournaments for two years.
