Baseball: Pitcher Kolby Allard is sidelined with injury

Standout pitcher Kolby Allard of San Clemente said Friday in a text that he will need between seven and eight weeks of rest after being diagnosed with a “stress reaction” in his back.
The senior left-hander has been considered the top pro prospect in Southern California.
San Clemente is off to an 8-0 start and has displayed good pitching depth, so getting him back in May would certainly help the Tritons come playoff time. Six different pitchers have won games this season.
