Football: City Section votes to support CIF state bowl proposal
- Share via
The City Section Board of Managers voted Monday to support a new state bowl proposal that would expand bowl games to every section champion in the state.
The Federated Council will vote on the measure on Friday. Getting support from the City Section representatives is an important step toward approval, because Southern Section representatives are meeting on Thursday to decide whether to support the proposal.
Currently, 18 of the 51 section champions are selected to participate in the state bowl games. The proposal would advance all 51 section champions to bowl games in the fall.
