Football: Fourth lowest attendance total in 10 years of bowl games

The two-day paid attandance total of 14,626 for the five CIF state championship bowl games in Sacramento was the fourth lowest in the 10-year history of bowl games.
It’s the first year of a three-year contract to hold five games at Sacramento State. The games were previously held at StubHub Center in Carson. It also rained on Friday.
Attendance for the Texas state high school football championship game between Katy and Lake Travis on Saturday was 43,718.
