Football: Freshman Christian Swint is set to give Compton a big boost

First-year Coach Elijah Asante, trying to turn around a Compton football program that didn’t win a game on the field last season, has already uncovered a player he thinks can make a difference.
Incoming freshman Christian Swint, a 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back-receiver who’s 14 years old, is expected to start. He’s fast and has had success playing youth football and basketball.
“He’s going to make an immediate impact,” Asante said.
