Football: Hawkins, Los Angeles are moving to Coliseum League
- Share via
Crenshaw and Dorsey are about to get improved competition in the Coliseum League this fall in football.
The City Section Board of Managers approved on Monday Hawkins and Los Angeles moving to the Coliseum League for football, with Fremont and Jefferson moving to the Expo League.
Los Angeles won the City Section Division III championship and is coached by former Crenshaw assistant Eric Scott. That will be quite a game seeing Scott coach against Crenshaw’s Robert Garrett.
Hawkins has some top young talent but the team will be ineligible for the playoffs in 2015, because it is on probation for rules violations in using ineligible players.
