Football: It’s another USC vs. UCLA competition for Gardena Serra players

The 2015 college football recruiting competition is barely over, but at Gardena Serra, the battle for players has started again involving recruiters for USC and UCLA.
Four Serra players ended up picking USC this season. Now four more on the team have been offered scholarships by USC and UCLA, with quarterback Khalil Tate the latest to pick up an offer from UCLA.
He joins class of 2016 prospects Brandon Burton, a defensive back-receiver, defensive lineman Oluwole Betiku and defensive back Chris Pollard with USC and UCLA offers.
“And so it begins again,” said Coach Scott Altenberg, a UCLA grad who has let his players make their final decisions.
Despite USC landing such former Serra players as Robert Woods, Marqise Lee and Adoree’ Jackson, UCLA has a couple of Serra players on its roster in Jordan Lasley and Dwight Williams.
