Girls’ basketball: Metta World Peace is joining Palisades as assistant coach

Palisades Coach Torino Johnson is adding some star power to his coaching staff.
Former NBA player Metta World Peace, whose daughter used to play in the Dolphins program, will become an assistant coach for the girls’ basketball team, Johnson said Thursday.
“We’re good to go,” Johnson said. “He is diligent worker. He’s very smart.”
