Girls’ volleyball: Tia Scambray, Hayley Hodson come home with silver medals

For the first time, the USA Girls’ Youth National Team earned a silver medal at the FIVB U18 World Championships in Thailand, and helping the team were Tia Scambray from Dana Hills and Hayley Hodson from Corona del Mar.

USA lost to China in the gold medal match. It was the first volleyball medal ever won by a boys’ or girls’ team from the USA at the World Championships
