Girls’ volleyball: Top seeds advance in City Section Division I playoffs

It’s time for some really good matchups in City Section Division I girls’ volleyball. The top seeds have advanced to the semifinals.
Tuesday’s semifinals will have No. 4 Granada Hills at No. 1 Carson and No. 3 Palisades vs. No. 2 El Camino Real at Taft.
In Thursday’s quarterfinals, Carson defeated Hamilton, 25-13, 25-8, 25-20.
Granada Hills defeated Taft, 25-15, 25-9, 25-10. Sarah Hagge had 12 kills for Granada Hills and freshman Carissa Bradford added 11 kills. Freshman Samantha Hakimi led Taft with 14 kills.
Palisades defeated Narbonne, 25-20, 25-12, 25-17.
El Camino Real defeated Cleveland, 25-12, 25-17, 25-12.
