It was quite a finish for Hidetoshi Yoshihara of Irvine Woodbridge at the CIF state golf championships on Wednesday at San Gabriel Country Club.
He put together a birdie charge that gave him the individual title with a six-under par 65 for a one-stroke victory over Adam Navigato of Torrey Pines. And he did by getting birdies on No. 15, No. 16, No. 17 and No. 18.
Yoshihara is a two-time Rolex All-American who signed with UCLA.
Torrey Pines won the CIF state golf championship on Wednesday at San Gabriel Country Club, finishing with a team score of 357 to secure a three-shot win over second-place Westlake.
Long Beach Wilson finished third.
