Track: Michael Norman wins 200 semifinal heat at Olympic Trials

Michael Norman, an 18-year-old from Vista Murrieta, won his 200 semifinal heat at Friday’s U.S. Olympic Trials in Oregon. He ran 20.21.
He advances to Saturday’s final with a trip to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro on the line. Norman is the two-time Gatorade national track athlete of the year headed to USC. He was wearing his trademark white headband and had Vista Murrieta on his jersey.

Another 18-year-old, Noah Lyles, won his heat in 20.26.
Former Taft High hurdler Jeshua Anderson won his heat of the 400 hurdles and will run in Saturday’s final.
