SAN ANTONIO -- Kobe Bryant was back but the Lakers trailed the San Antonio Spurs at halftime, 56-52, on Friday at AT&T Center.
Bryant missed seven games because of a sore left shin. He has seven points in 18 minutes, making two of six shots.
Andrew Bynum has 12 points. Ramon Sessions struggled, missing four of five shots and scoring only two points with no assists.
The Lakers’ defense was shoddy at best, allowing San Antonio to shoot 58% in the first half.
Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 16 points while Tony Parker had 11 points and seven assists.
The Lakers (40-23) and Spurs (45-16) are playing each other for the third time in 10 days. They each won in lopsided fashion on each other’s court in the first two games.
