Trojans linebacker Su’a Cravens on watchlist for Lott trophy

USC linebacker Su’a Cravens is among 42 players on the preseason watchlist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy.
Cravens, a junior, was All-Pac-12 last season. He was selected to several Freshman All-American teams as a safety in 2013.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound Cravens had a team-best 17 tackles for losses, including five sacks, last season. He also intercepted three passes, returning one for a touchdown.
The Lott IMPACT Trophy, awarded since 2004, recognizes the defensive impact player of the year. It is named in honor of former USC All-American Ronnie Lott, a pro football Hall of Famer.
A USC player has not won the award.
UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr won in 2013, and Bruins linebacker Eric Kendricks in 2014.
