Track: Luigi Colella of Thousand Oaks clears 16-9 in pole vault

Luigi Colella of Thousand Oaks soared to a state-best and Ventura County record on Friday at the Marmonte League track and field finals, clearing 16 feet, 9 inches in the pole vault.
He’s the defending state champion.
Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley continued her domination in the 3,200, winning in 10:48.79.
