Cruises: Princess booking world cruise with L.A. departure, arrival

Princess Cruises has opened bookings for its first world cruise to both depart from and return to North America. The Pacific Princess will sail round trip from Los Angeles for 111 days in 2015, visiting more than 25 countries on six continents. Besides daylong port calls in numerous locations, it will make overnight calls at several ports. Optional excursions can be booked to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Taj Mahal in India, Copper Canyon in Mexico and other destinations.
Date: Jan. 23 to May 15, 2015.
Price: From $20,499 a person, double occupancy; discounts may be available. The price does not include airfare to or from Los Angeles, transfers to or from the ship, shore tours, government fees and taxes of $1,820 a person and gratuities to onboard staff.
