Reporting from Las Vegas — Switch it up next time you’re in Las Vegas with Vdara’s new lobby bar Vice Versa Patio & Lounge. The revamped bar at the boutique hotel lets guests go with the classic or swing with the new indoors or on the patio.
For example, the vice side of the menu features twists on classics such as the Sunset in Moscow with Belvedere pink grapefruit vodka while the New Fashion uses Bulleit bourbon. On the flipside, the versa menu features a traditional Moscow mule.
The bar serves light bites too, such as surf and turf sliders with tempura lobster and steak, chicken teriyaki sliders with pulled chicken and lobster tacos.
Sure, you can find traditional beers such as Heinekens and Coronas, but the bar also serves Samuel Smith’s Organic Chocolate Stout, Goose Island Matilda and Uinta Dubhe IPA.
A renovated outdoor patio is dotted with couches and fire pits, and guests can look across at neighboring Aria and the enormous Nancy Rubins’ “Big Edge” sculpture made from 200 recycled canoes.
The bar at this non-smoking resort also features a happy hour from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
