French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve says an operation is underway to detain two brothers suspected in the newsroom massacre at a satirical weekly.
The operation unfolded Friday in Dammartin-en-Goele, about 25 miles northeast of Paris.
Cazeneuve spoke moments after an emergency meeting with the president, prime minister and top police official.
Hours earlier, according to a security official, the brothers stole a Peugeot amid gunfire.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity to describe an unfolding operation.
